April showers bring May flowers, right? Yes they do. We had a lot of rain here in Virginia in April, and as a result, we’ve had lots of lovely flowers. Of course the daffodils and tulips and other bulbs are long finished blooming. I was going to share with you some of our azaleas and purple wisteria, but we had more rain, and they are gone too. Thankfully, there is a never-ending parade of different flowers here in our yard.

I’m not sure what this plant is called. It reminds me of a pink honeysuckle, but it doesn’t have the strong, sweet fragrance. If anyone knows what this plant is (which grows wild in our yard), please let me know.

This rhododendron usually blooms every year, and every year it rains and ruins the blooms. So far, so good this year.
