Awesome Crystal Ball Halloween Decor
Awesome Crystal Ball Halloween Decor.
Made with dollar store ingredients.
What Halloween setting would be complete without them?
I set out to find rounded bowls.
But, alas, it was not meant to be.
Instead, I bought fish bowls at the dollar store.
And candle sticks.
I’ve bought a dozen candlesticks the last couple of months, I think the clerk at the dollar store thinks I might have a problem.
And, more black paint.
I black paint.
I’ve bought more spray paint than I will admit to this year. The guy in the paint department at Walmart squints at me when I walk into that aisle.
Yes. Yes I do need another 6 cans of paint.
Back to these awesome crystal balls.
For the tall crystal ball, I used two candle sticks. I turned one upside down and used silicone glue to glue them together.
Then, I spray painted them both black.
I used our Halloween 2014 Skull Printable Download,
and cut out two skulls from the paper.
I used a wide popsicle stick and cut off just enough at the bottom to allow me to glue the skull in place.
I then used the silicone glue, and put it around the rim of the candlestick. But I put the bowl on sideways.
Put both bowls on and allow them to dry. I tilted the glass up a bit to allow a better view.
Then I used my hot glue gun, and added a dollop of glue at the bottom of the bowl.
I stood the skull upright into the glue, and made sure I held it there until the glue cooled.
You can see the skulls through the bottom of the bowl.
Voila! All done. Just do the same to the second ball.
They are ready to be placed into your spookiest decor!
