In our house, we love a good cheesy mozzarella stick, but my youngest daughter doesn’t like fried food much. During the summer, I have my kids help cook so that they learn skills in the kitchen, and my daughter and I created this recipe together that was so easy and so delicious, we ended up making another batch the very next day for the whole family to enjoy. She and I both decided that although mozzarella sticks are delicious, that these baked cheese sticks are great substitute! And one cheesy bread stick is a hearty meal for a kid, so it’s economical too!
I love creating with Rhodes Bread and came up with this idea for making cheese filled bread sticks, combining her love of Rhodes Bread and cheese, without the fried coating. These sticks are light, filled with cheesy goodness and topped with a Parmesan and herb seasoning that has an Italian taste. They make a great lunch plain or with a marinara dip, and now we are planning on making them along with a spaghetti dinner as a bread side! My teens even remarked that these sticks reminded them of one of their favorite Italian meals… calzones!
You can see that they are loaded with cheese too!
We absolutely loved these and I think that you will too!
Try them today!
