CupCardsToGo Guest Designer

Today I am revealing my cards for a wonderful Guest Designership  with CupCardsToGo.

Cassonda asked me over the summer to be a guest designer, and I was so thrilled!

Of course I wanted to join in.

And boy was I surprised when I saw the fabulous kit.

Beautiful, and my two favorite colors were predominant in it – Pinks and Oranges. Swoon!

These kits are fantastic, I have to tell you.

The papers are matched to various embellishments, ribbons, rub-on sentiments, buttons and more.

It’s all there for you, even card bases and envelopes!

This first card, I found the lovely flower on a piece of patterned paper and cut it out. But it was flat, so I gleefully crumpled it!

LOVE that dimension.

I layered patterned papers, cardstock and even used some of the pretty lace washi tape.

Then, I looped a ribbon, tied with twine, added my embellishments and the rub-on sentiment.

This card was inspired by the butterfly paper.

I cannot leave images on patterened paper alone.

I had to cut out some of the butterflies.

The corals and reds in the paper went well with the butterfly colors, so I added the tag, and made some rolled flowers with a bold black print.

After I added the loopy bow, I tucked some lace under the flowers and added a tag with the rub-on sentiment.

And I finished with some pearls and gems from the kit.

After I made the card, I had a couple leftover butterflies, and thought a matching tag would be perfect.

So I punched the bottom of the tag, added on the butterflies and a little paper, there was a black flower embellishment that I tucked in there too.

Then I added more of the rolled flowers, and added some fun buttons and ribbons, before adding my rub-ons.

This card has my heart, texture, color.

Ooooh, it’s got it goin’ ON!

First, I scrunched the paper flowers up, and glued them together. Don’t you just love that bow?

Burlap. heartheartheart

I tucked a little twine bow in there, then underneath added the two banner stickers.

I popped them up a bit for dimension.

Then I cut out those teeny little darling flowers and added them on. with the button.

I also used more washi tape, and added fake stitching to the edges. Cute!

Sketch Challenge -

I will share the sketch as soon as it goes up on CupCardsToGo.

However, here is my take on the sketch.

I used the cards that came in the kit, and cut out each image.

I added those to the center and popped them up.

I used another fabulous flower and cut it from the patterned paper then crumpled it and added leaves.

The sentiment is a rub-on that runs across top and bottom, so I added mine, then added a banner at the bottom.

Lastly – my card  tutorial – make this fun card using the kit as well.

Step 1:  Cut strips of black and green paper, attach to bottom of card base.

Step 2: Paint Butterflies with watercolor, allow to dry and adhere to front of card.

Step 3: Create bow with ribbon and twine, add button to middle of bow and attach to top of card.

Step 4: Use letter stickers ( Pink Paislee) and rub-ons to spell out greeting.

Step 5: Embellish with gems and paper strips.
