Cute Conversation Heart Box Wraps

Here is another adorable and quick craft to personalize your Valentine’s. How about some Conversation heart box wraps. I used my Cricut Expression Machine and the Create a Critter 2 cartridge to find some adorable little animals to help spread the word this Valentine’s Day. I just think these are too cute and they really were easy to create!

First, start out using Cricut Craft Room and add each animal layer on each color of cardstock that you want to use. I chose colors of dark brown, medium brown, cream and light pink. All the animals were layered onto the mats using Craft room, and I was able to cut everything out, only using 4 sheets of cardstock and having the machine cut sheets 4 times. I made sure before I started that I measured the size of the boxes. They sure have gotten smaller. I remember them being about the size of a deck of cards. They are about 1/2 that size now. I felt that using the sizes of 3″ x 1.5″ would allow everything to fit. Therefore, I made sure that my animal cuts were 2.25 x 1.5 inches. The additional space would fit the little saying.

As I said, I made sure each layer was the one I wanted for each layer of cardstock. It sounds more complicated than it was. Simply create 4 layers. I like to change the color of the layer to the color cardstock I am using. Then, just make sure your layers are on the correct color.

Next, glue all the animals together.

Measure your box, cut strips of paper to fit the box and wrap them in the paper.

Start on the back of the box and adhere the edge.

Roll the paper around the box, using your fingers along the edge of the box to crease it in place.

Continue until the ends over lap, and trim off the excess paper and glue the edge well.

Use foam tape to adhere to the back of the animals for some dimension.

Use the computer – Century Gothic font – to cut out the saying strips. Use ALT+3 for the heart.

Add the animals to the box, add the strips to the box, then add pink pearls to the saying, and tie some pretty twine around the box for decoration. I used Doodlebug twine and pearls.
