Delectable Drinking Straws
One way to really fancy up a party, PERSONALIZED delectable drinking straws. Tell me, have you ever thought of making a fancy straw? It’s an easy way to customize your drinks, and everyone can remember what the tag looks like for their own drink, or even better, write their name or initials on the back. And how cute is it to drink out of canning jars? they are inexpensive and easy to use, and reusable for a very long time!
To make these adorable straw tags, I used a stamp set by Inkadinkado for the background tag part. Then I used a KI Memories stamp set that had the Halloween images on it.
I found the stamps at my local craft stores, and the fun dotted straws I found at a party store, there are several colors to chose from.
All I did really was to take cardstock, stamp first the tag stamps, and then stamped on the Halloween icons. The tree stamp I stamped directly on the tag, as I didn’t want to cut out those branches.
The rest of the stamping I did on separate pieces of scrap cardstock, I cut out the images, and the Oct.31 stamp was small enough to punch out with my circle punch.
After I created all my tags, I punched a small hole in the top of the tag. I used a large needle to punch through, you can use a super small hole punch though.
Then I pushed my bakers twine through the hole, and just tied it on my straw. You can slide it up or down the straw, depending on where you want it.
For each jar, I took inexpensive ribbons and tied them on to the top.
Have a flavored juice- I use grape gatorade for my drink. And give it a creepy name- Witchy Potion No.49….
And enjoy your party, and all the ohhhh, ahhhhs and oooooos, you’ll be sure to get for just a couple hours worth of work!
