Dinomite Kid Cricut Scrapbook Layout
Today’s double-page Dinomite Kid Cricut Scrapbook Layout is for a younger boy or girl, since it’s pretty gender neutral, but color specific, you could change them to suit your needs.
I think orange, lime, and teal is pretty much one of my most favorite color combos. You will see them a lot in my layouts.
I apologize for my crooked-y photos. Really, the photos are crooked, not the layouts! They bent a little in standing them up for pics
This layout uses a pre-made title piece, but I created my own title by adding words to the phrase and a banner underneath to stand out.
The Cricut Cartridges I used were:
Dino Play and
Birthday Bash for the title.
Yes, I would love to have Copic Markers or such to add these details, but you can get by with an $11 package of Sharpie or Bic markers. I recommend that you use your little bits of scrap paper to test the colors out on.
Low lights and shading can be done with some of the lightest markers.
See the lighting on the Dinomite phrase? It’s very subtle, look closely.
I have also accented the words in the title. When using subtle coloring, go with a color that blends well with the paper color – NOT a dark grey, brown or black.
I also made the dinos a little cuter with wiggle eyes!
You can add details to your cuts with markers too. Giving them a nicer appeal.
I like to use chalks to shade items. While I used markers on the dino, I used brown chalk on the volcano. I also made some more of those awesome rocks!
Notice the grass details that I drew with marker. It fills in a bit and leaves less area untouched.
This layout can hold four 4″ x 6″ photos and one smaller 3″ x 5″ photo. That’s a good amount of pictures. I even added a little banner to journal on.
