Easy Fudge Cookie Cutter Gifts
This week I have decided to showcase a few projects using metal cookie cutters, Easy Fudge Cookie Cutter Gifts.
I love to gift homemade treats during the holidays, people love to eat fresh and delicious treats that they might not be able to get at stores, like this easy fudge.
Cookie cutters are available year round, but I have seen oodles of them now that the holidays are here. I absolutely prefer the metal cutters over the plastic ones, but this crafty food project could easily use either metal cutters or plastic ones
How about a two ingredient super easy fudge that comes together in about 2 minutes? Add the delicious fudge to your cutters, top them with some cute sprinkles and you have an amazing homemade gift that is going to be loved! These fudgy cookie cutter gifts came together very quickly- in less then 20 minutes. They need a little cool down time, then you can pop them in some candy baggies, tie them off with a pretty bow and have a bunch made in a short time.
For the fudge, you need 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, and 1 bag (12 oz.) of chocolate chips. Change up the chips to change up the fudge- dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white, butterscotch, peanut butter, all would work with this recipe.
Add both the can of milk and the chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute, stir well, add 30 more seconds and stir well again. By this point, all the chips should be melted and the fudge is ready to go.
Lay your cookie cutters out onto a sheet pan, place parchment paper over the pan and add your cookie cutters. One batch of fudge made 7 full cookie cutters.
Use a spoon and a spatula, and ladle the fudge into the shape, then smooth the top with the spatula.
Add your seasonal sprinkles, or any fun decorations, like- M&M’s, peppermint, sprinkles, jimmies, colored sugar etc…
Press the sprinkles down into the fudge to set them. Leave the fudge to cool for about 20 minutes.
If you choose, you can gently push the fudge out of the cutter to keep the shape, but not give away the cutters.
Now just package the fudge with a candy bag and a pretty, festive ribbon!
