Falling All Over My Cute Cricut Layout

I went back in time and printed out this darling photos of minion#2 from about 6 years ago. What cute pics, so happy I have them to bring back many fond memories.

One of my favorite things to create with my cricut is a scene on a layout, I just love adding in details to complete the scene and make it into a background to highlight my photos. When I do this, I often turn my pics black and white so they aren’t overpowered by the colors of paper. They stand out in b&w and even better, then match any colors I chose to use on this cute cricut layout.

I chose fall colors – lime, burgundy, orange, gold, and green for my layout. The patterned paper is from SEI, a very subtle pattern, which is my favorite kind.

For this layout, I used the Cricut Simply Scarecrow cartridge: Scarecrow4 cut at 5 inches. I also added the wheat stalks cut at 4 inches and the title “FALL”  at 2 inches. The grass cut is cut from the Cricut Classroom Feb/March cartridge cut at 1.15 inches, and I added 4 copies and welded them together to create one long strip. The pumpkins are from the Thanksgiving cartridge cut at 1.6,1.4, and 1 inches. I cut a 3.7 inch circle using the Cricut Font and Basic Shapes cartridge.

You can see, I also used a leaf punch to add some green to the background and I punched the top border with a scallop punch for a little extra touch.

I love the simple idea of this background and you could certainly recreate this layout with your choice of colors and paper, but what a cute starting point!
