Fun Valentines Day Cards

On occasion, I like to try to create with some Cricut cuts that are ones I don’t see much.

I think it’s so much fun to come up with a cute idea that way.

And of course, I also love to use my scraps of paper. I like that in Cricut Craft Room I can move an image around on the mat, so that I can figure out exactly how much room I need and can measure my scrap to fit that cut.

You can download the CCR Files for these fun Valentines Day cards here.

These are the carts I used for the cards.

Hogs and Kisses:

Just Because Cards – Pig

Bridal Shower – Kiss

Cricut Font and Basic Shapes – Font

Spring Fever Holiday – Cupcake/You’re the Best quote

Cupcake – Font

Hogs and Kisses – I created some fun piggy treat boxes last year and this phrase just sticks in my head. Funny thing, my neighbor sent me a text and told me to give my minions hogs and kisses. So it’s a phrase I hear a lot!

I looked for a font that was different without being too hard to put back together and would work well on a curve.

As I was doing a search for pigs in Cricut Craft Room, I came up with this fun circle image.

Then I decided I would layer it with the wording. As I looked at it, I wanted a kiss on there as well. When I made the card, I layered the colors over the base, then popped the mat up with foam tape.

This cupcake image was the same cupcake image I used on my February layout, I enlarged it and decided I wanted to make it into a card.

I added the wording over the bottom of the cupcake and cut them out.

When I went to put the card together, I found that the wording blended in to the cupcake too much. So after a LONG time of fussing, I decided to add the banner behind the words.

Even though it was a more difficult card to figure out, I love the end result.

I adore all the texture on the cards. Even though they seem to be kind of flat, there is a lot of cardstock texture.
