Girl’s Beach Layout
Living on the East Coast, we go to the beach several times during the spring and summer.
I just found out that one of our favorite places to go has a great white shark that’s been tagged and has been pinging right around our favorite spots, close to Assateague and Chincoteague Islands.
YIKES!
That’s O.K. By the time we are ready to get out in the water, I think it might be a little too warm in the water for them to hang around.
One of our favorite things about these beaches is that there is so much wildlife there, and it’s fairly less crowded than the big beaches at Ocean City or there around.
Our tradition is to get to the beach early afternoon, stay until it gets a little too chilly to play in the water. Then we get changed, and head over to the bay side of the area.
I usually take photos of the girls in the dunes, and in the setting sun.
I wanted my beach layout to be soft pastels to keep the sun and surf feeling. I used some Basic Grey papers and squared my photos up with a little mini scene I cut with my Cricut.
It’s not hard to add scenes to your layouts, you only need a little space. You can create something like this, incorporating the title as well.
I used Birthday Bash, Cricut Craft Room Basics, Cursive 101, Everyday Paper Dolls, Life is a Beach, and Pirates and Mermaids to cut these shapes out using my Cricut Expression and cardstock.
I love adding clouds to the layout as part of a scene.
Even the tiny crab is a cute accent.
Although my scene is dominant on the page, adding those dark mats to the photos makes them stand out as the first thing to draw your eye.
Enjoy!
