Halloween Mummy Tealight Jars
I keep pretty much every glass jar that we use in the kitchen.
Salsa, spaghetti sauce, mushrooms, I wash them out, pull the labels off.
I love that I have a drawer or four of them sitting there, awaiting my next craft.
I have created a lot of fun projects with them and these Halloween Mummy Tealight Jars are just adorable little decorations.
I love how fast these came together.
Just about 8 minutes to create a jar. Let me walk you through.
You need some sport wrap or tape. I used a roll of it, and still have a lot left. The roll cost me about $3.
You also need a couple jars, some wiggle eyes, and a sharpie pen.
First, cover the jar with the sport tape.
A basic job will do, as we’ll be adding more tape.
Color in on the tape, a spot that resembles a mouth.
Tear off a bit of tape, roll it into a ball and adhere it onto the face for a nose.
Then cover the nose with another strip of tape, and add wiggle eyes.
Add some more tape across the front, and partially cover the top of the wiggle eyes. Roll the edges of the tape slightly to make them stand out.
Use blush or chalk and dab on some color to his cheeks.
I added a tiny bit to the top of his nose too.
Take a dry clean spot on the Q-Tip or cotton ball and really scrub the color into the tape.
Add battery-operated flicker tea lights to the inside of the jar.
They look like adorable candle holders.
But they are also safe for the kiddos to be around!
