Happy NSD – A Bit Early
It’s a little early to celebrate NSD. What is NSD? It’s National Scrapbooking Day! Happy NSD!
It’s a day to celebrate the crafting of our family history, the story of we.
I adore this craft, although you can see I participate in many others.
It’s because of scrapbooking that I am here where I am today.
It made me a better story teller, even though I still have miles to go.
I’m a better photographer too. I feel happy to create and craft memories of my kids.
I want to share a Cricut layout with you.
No files to share today, but a fun layout.
First, I used both Paper Trimmings , Bloom, and Wild Card Cricut Cartridges to create this layout.
I first cut the swirl and used a mister to add color to the yellow background. Once it was dry, I just moved the cut a little and adhered it into place. While I was adding the mist, I added droplets all over the layout as well.
I popped up my photos using foam tape, and then mounted them onto a white block.
I also used the patterned paper to cut out the zigzag strips. (They were already in the pattern.)
I used Bloom to cut out the flowers. Once I had them together, I crumpled them to give them texture.
I cut out the title using Wild Card, and adhered that to the layout.
I added my text, then added these pretty grey little gems a couple of places across the layout.
It’s definitely different colors for me, and for a girl layout, but I love it! So pretty!
Enjoy!
