Have an Epic Party and Create Your Own Banner
So, having a party for this upcoming Halloween? I think that’s terrific!I have a fun banner you can re-create that packs a lot of punch for such a small banner. Have an Epic Party and Create Your Own Banner!
I used some My Little ShoeBox paper, the wording and the journal spots that I used for the banner pieces. I also added in some little dimensional stickers that I believe are from K&Company. I have had them several years so forgive me for not knowing exactly who they are from.
To create my banner, I cut the journal spots out and then added strips of paper to make the hanger. I used mostly two pieces, but one piece also works as you can see.
I added a brad to keep the journal spots and paper strips together. Then I decorated each journal spot differently.
Mostly I used a mix of the word phrases papers, then I added the 3d stickers to the banner piece.
I also added in some Imaginisce buttons.
As you can see, the banner is pretty easy, just a matter of layering on the stickers and word pieces to create a fast and fun decor item.
to make the banner itself, I added first a twine string to the length I desired- this can be any size you need. Then I tied on some black tulle, can find tulle in colors at your craft store. And lastly, I added a spider ring ( from the dollar store) to the tulle knot, just adding a dot of glue to keep the rings from falling off. creepy yet adorable!
here are some of the individual banner pieces to see close up. eeek- there’s a spider! heehee
watch out for bats!
Hope you enjoy my fun and cute Halloween banner!
