Homemade Apple Pie Sugar Scrub
I am not much of a girly girl, but my teens like to pamper themselves with bath bombs, lotions and scrubs.
I AM cheap, and don’t like to spend a lot of money for this stuff, they’d spend me out of house and home.
Imagine how happy it makes me to find that I can create some of these luxurious spa-like items at home, for pennies! I’ve been making sugar scrub for over a year now, the girls like to use it on their legs for a smoother finish. The sugar exfoliates, the cinnamon also exfoliates. The coconut oil is great for your skin.
I created this simple to make Homemade Apple Pie Sugar Scrub, for it’s exfoliation and rejuvenating qualities, plus it smells divine!
Would you believe it’s completely edible as well? It’s perfect to exfoliate winter dry chapped lips.
In a mixing bowl combine-
1/2 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of pumpkin pie spice
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 package of Hot Cider Mix
In the microwave, melt 1/3 cup of coconut oil. I like this melted so it integrates better into the scrub.
Pour the melted coconut oil into the dry ingredients.
Mix well, and place in jar for storage.
To use, take a spoonful of scrub and use to scrub your hands, lips, legs or feet.
To use on your lips, dip an old toothbrush into the mix, and scrub gently onto your lips.
This scrub will smell amazing in a hot shower.
