Homemade Pumpkin Pie Soap

I absolutely love the scents of autumn!

Cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, pumpkin, squash, leaves, crisp air… ahhhh!

These are some of my favorite scents, I particularly love the scent of lit pumpkins, that is one of my favorite reasons for trick or treating, smelling lit candles and the hot pumpkin scent.

How about some wonderful Handmade Pumpkin Pie Soap?

I am really having a wonderful time making my own scented handmade soaps. I love that these exfoliate my hands in the cooler months, my skin gets dry from dishes and cleaning, and crafting. I also love how soft my skin feels from using the goat’s milk soap, and the natural ingredients I am including in the soap. Plus my hands smell so yummy when they are dry!

The ingredients you need are

Goats Milk Soap Suspension Formula- 2lbs, or 1/2 pound of this soap

Soap colorants- yellow and red needed

Pumpkin Pie spice- 2 tablespoons

First, cut the soap base into cubes. you will need about 1/4 of this 2 lb container.

In a glass measuring cup, melt the soap in the microwave in increments of 30 seconds. It will take about 1 minute to fully melt the cubes.

Stir the soap to make sure all the lumps are gone, then add the pumpkin pie spice.

Add the color in drops- 4 drops of yellow, and 2 drops of red. Stir the mixture well.

Pour the soap into the molds.

Leave the molds to chill, and remove after letting set for at least 2 hours.

I remove my soap and place it on a couple sheets of paper to dry out a little, it helps the soap last a little longer in use.

Use your soap, or package it with some pretty twine and tags.

Enjoy the scent of pumpkin pie spiced soap!

    Hi Kris,
Having got tired of M&P soap and just making CP and HP soap, it is so nice that you show some of the M&P soap making – I love the Honey Oatmeal and the Pumpkin Pie, but may I make a suggestion? As soon as you have poured the melted soap mix into the molds, try and spritz some 91% or 99% rubbing alcohol on the surface and the tiny bubbles will be GONE. You will have a nice smooth surface….
    Keep on soaping!
