Jar of Hearts Valentine’s Day Gifts
So, in my head, I have Christina Perry’s “Jar of Hearts” song.
But, these pretty little jars don’t fill up with broken hearts. Instead, they lift hearts up and fill them with joy.
I know I feel joy when I get jars of yummy chocolates!
I love these fun jars. You can create them with a little spray paint, a recycled jar, and a little vinyl.
And when they are empty, add a tealight and they make a lovely candle jar!
First, set your cuts up in Cricut Craft Room.
Here is a free download of the file.
Use vinyl and cut out the hearts.
I used Create a Critter – for the heart.
Find some pretty jars, I always keep all my glass jars and recycle them into projects. Clean the labels off, wash and dry.
Add your vinyl to the jars, I made three different jar designs.
Spray paint your jars, I used two pink shades and a red. Liberally spray the jars, as the thicker the paint around the vinyl, the better the image will turn out.
Peel the vinyl off the jars, and see the images.
Once the jars are empty of chocolate and candy, you can use them as lovely tea light decor.
To finish the top of the jar, I added a foil cupcake wrapper to the lid, it kind of keeps it’s shape while you tie the twine around it.
I added a couple old tags I had, one is coffee stained. And punched a tiny heart for the tag.
Write your recipients name on the back of the tag.
Fill these jars with favorite candies, or a small gift. They are lovely!
