Personalized Wine Glasses

I find the neatest stuff at the Dollar Store.

I found these fun stemless wine glasses there not long ago.

I couldn’t wait to get home and get them etched to make my own Personalized Wine Glasses.

I decided that since I am the only one at home that drinks wine, I would be kind to myself and make a gift for me!

I am going to show you two monograms, and you can see which you like to create for your gifts.

I first measured the circumference of the wine glass, and I found that a 3-inch stencil would work well.

I created a file in Cricut Craft Room, and then I used my Cricut Expression to cut the vinyl.

For my name, “Kris”, I used Cricut Craft Room Basics to for the call out, then I added Quarter Note font, and Create a Critter 2  for the oval inside.

For the “K” monogram, I used Cricut Craft Room Basics for the call out (flipped) then added the Tie the Knot monogram, and two hearts from Create a Critter, with an oval from Create a Critter 2.

I then placed the vinyl on the glasses.

Make sure to double and triple check to see that the monogram is completely down with no bubbles.

While wearing rubber gloves, use etching cream,

and apply it liberally all over the glass. Make sure to really glop it on the glasses.

Once I was done one, I scraped the etching cream off that glass and glopped it on the other glass.

Once you have them both covered, remove as much etching cream from the glasses with the brush as you can.

Now you can take them into the sink, and wash all the rest of the etching cream off.

The vinyl won’t stick that well once it’s wet, and will begin to peel away. Remove the vinyl and hand wash the glasses.

Easy easy! Now you can create all kinds of fun glassware. They make great gifts.

Enjoy!
