Philly Cheesesteak Cups
I have been a cheese steak lover for many years. Living not too far outside of Philadelphia, our family has tried the big names, Gino’s, Pat’s, Tony Luke’s. From pricey steak house cheese steaks to food carts. Cheese steak subs, filled pretzels, loaded pizzas and even cheese steak salad. We made it a fun mission to sample the best and the most diverse places to find a cheese steak. This recipe is great where there will be a gathering of guys or teens, and especially great for an upcoming Father’s Day picnic. I’m a basic kind of gal, a little garlic, salt and pepper on thinly sliced steak, a good cheese and an incredible bread makes one of the best sandwiches around, whether it’s from a high end chef or a diner. I created these fun cheese steak filled bread cups to bring along with us for a graduation party this spring. They were a big hit at the party, in less then 10 minutes they were gone and my friends raved about how tasty they were. It’s not always easy to make a cheese steak into a single serving, but these cups are just perfect for single size proportions. Crispy yet tender bread, filled with lots of cheese and steak goodness, they are easy to hold and take a big bite out of!
