RESCUE Yourself! Naturally Handle Your Stress
Kristen – As a mom, type A personality, wife, homeowner, crafter and working person, I have all kinds of stress. Seriously! And I often feel that in my body, as I might not realize how stressed out I let myself get. I try to find ways to relax, but I don’t always take time for myself, and that’s when I need a little extra help. I tried this product that was new to me, Bach’s RESCUE because I like natural supplements, and don’t want to use prescription meds.
So, I saw these RESCUE Products: Gum and Sleep Liquid Melts in my local CVS pharmacy and decided that it would be worth trying. When I stress, I get short tempered because I get sleep deprived then because I don’t sleep well, I am short tempered. A vicious cycle. I tried these Sleep Liquid Melts the other night. They are tiny little round pills that melt in your mouth, with a pleasant floral taste. I slept through the night, had better energy and was a lot less short tempered. And the best part I was not as edgy or feeling like the day was too short and my to-do list too long. These gave me that tone-it-down-a-notch kind of feeling. Not sleepy or loopy or out of it, as many of the sleep aids I have tried make me feel the next day. They just made me feel more awake, more calm. I found that I slept through the night, and felt more tired when I was ready for bed. I fell asleep a lot faster. Not the usual, thousands things running through my mind kind of end to my day. I am impressed!
Tammy – I was excited to try one of the RESCUE products from Bach. I purchased the RESCUE Pastilles. I tried the yummy black current flavor. They also come in Orange/Elderflower, Cranberry, and Lemon. You can suck on them, and they gently melt in your mouth, or chew them. They are like a firm gummy. I really liked the flavor and the texture. I also love the little round, pop-open tin which holds the little pastilles. Each Pastille contains four drops of the original Original Bach Flower Remedy™ formulated by Dr. Bach nearly a hundred years ago.
The active ingredients in the product are:
Star of Bethlehem: For trauma and shock.
Clematis: For the tendency to “pass out”, and unconsciousness, being ‘far away’ and not present mentally.
Cherry Plum: Fear of mind giving way, verge of breakdown, anger.
Impatiens: For irritability, tension and fidgety.
Rock Rose: For frozen terror and panic.
I’m also Type II diabetic, so I was happy to find out that the Bach RESCUE Pastilles have a sugar substitute (sorbitol isomalt) and sweetener (xylitol, thaumatin), so it won’t spike my blood sugar.
I am currently living in a pretty stressful situation. My youngest daughter and I have moved back into my parent’s house so I can save some money to get my own place again. It is NOT easy moving back in with your parents in your 50’s. I love them dearly, and I am thankful for a place to land, but it’s not an ideal situation. I’m also working four jobs right now. I’m co-owner of this blog, selling my dictionary art prints online, selling used clothing on eBay and working half days at a local insurance agency in the afternoon. Needless to say, I am often stressed. I have hardly ever had difficulty sleeping in my whole life, but lately, as soon as I lay down to go to sleep, I can’t. My mind can’t calm down, and I have restless legs.
The RESCUE Pastilles are meant to use any time to relieve stress. I took a couple of them during the day, and they did seem to soothe and calm me down. They didn’t make me groggy or sleepy though – just calm. I then took a couple before I went to sleep. I don’t know if it was a placebo effect or not, but my mind was calm, and I didn’t have jittery legs. I slept very well. I plan to take them again tonight. I may have found my “cure” to help me fall asleep faster. I’m very happy!
Kristen – I also tried the RESCUE Chewing Gum. As a mom to two teenagers, what is mine is often theirs. Both girls wanted to try the gum. Annalise felt the effects the most, and loved how much calmer she was feeling. She often has the need to move or juggle things, to occupy herself and this helped with her feeling less jittery. In two days, most of my package of gum is gone. I liked it so much, I am planning on picking up a couple more packs.
