Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Bread
I love when I create recipes that my family goes wild for. This Sausage, Egg and Cheese bread was a huge hit with my family. My daughters and I have made it several times since I first tried it and every time they tell me how good it is. I had to share it with you. Not only is this bread perfect for breakfast, we have had it as sandwich bread, with Italian food, for snacks, for breakfast as toast, and even Egg in the Hole toast where you remove a section from the middle of the bread and toast the bread in the pan while cooking an egg in the hole you put in the bread. Slightly cheesy with a great sausage flavor, I used a mixture of spicy and sweet Italian sausage and this bread doesn’t give you a punch from the heat at all. I also love to make this style of easy chopped bread with my kids! They love to get a bit messy. You simply place the ingredients in a pile and chop with a knife until it’s well mixed. Then it’s just a matter of proofing the bread and baking it it off. You could even make this bread ahead of time and freeze it in loaf pans, then pop it out into a freezer ziploc baggie for another time. Just thaw, proof and bake!
Look at all those bits of sausage, yumminess in every bite! Cheesiness in every bite. Slather on some butter and dig in!
