Spooky Sparkly Halloween Shirt Design
So, halfway to Halloween. But maybe, you are looking for a super cute shirt design, because you simply don’t feel like wearing a generic Halloween shirt. And maybe you want a little sparkle too? How ’bout a Spooky Sparkly Halloween Shirt Design?
This shirt turned out too cute! Now I have seen lots of cute cut out shirts, and even a few that have the skeleton ribs, but I LOVE the additional touch of the little red heart on this.
Now, once again, I had to create my own pattern. Here is a photo of mine, you could copy off a print and enlarge it to fit your design. I did trace each piece, so they are sized to fit an 8.5×11 paper.
First, I cut the collar, sleeves and bottom band off the sweatshirt. Then, I had Minion #2 try it on, and make sure it was comfortable for her.
I used Cricut Iron-on Vinyl for this project, in glitter of course. Aside from the Cricut store, not sure where you can get iron-on vinyl, but you can use any iron-on fabric, or make some with some Heat & Bond, which is a medium you iron on to your fabric, cut out, then use in an applique process, and iron on to your shirt. DON”T FORGET TO FLIP if you are making this project that way!!
now, all you do is to line your pieces up on the shirt. cover with a couple paper towels, and iron.
I used my iron on a medium setting and gently picked at the edges to make sure the iron on was really secure.
What I like about this vinyl is that it’s really secure on there, but it’s soft too, not stiff.
I added the heart OVER the ribs, because under I don’t think it would have shown up as well. Now you can wear it!
Oh my, gotta feed that kid, she’s turning into ribs and bones!!
