Tomato Soup Turtles
It sure got hot here for us in Maryland in the last few days. Our temps went from the low 70’s to the 90’s! We just opened our pool and now I can’t wait to jump into it! Summertime and the pool brings me back to when I was a teen and Mom would drag me out of the pool for lunch. I’d be shivering and blue lipped, but never wanted to get out, even for a few minutes to eat. She’d make us something warm like peanut butter on toast, or grilled cheese. As a mom myself, I have to drag my kiddos out of the pool, blue lipped and shivering to get them to eat some lunch, and more then ever, appreciate that warm lunch that keeps the belly full and warms up those blue lips.
I created these adorable shaped rolls to go with our lunch. Cute little turtles swimming in a bowl full of hearty tomato soup, they are so cute. And perfect for attract kids who might be resistance for a little pause from their summer fun. They can easily help make these rolls in the morning, and they will be ready for lunchtime fun.
I know the kids will just love these, though they might have a little trouble eating such an adorable new little friend, but rest assured they are as delicious as they are cute!
